One of the stars of "The Bachelor" has finally gotten hitched -- just not to the woman he chose on the show.

Bob Guiney, pal of Oprah Winfrey and star of the fourth "Bachelor," married soap-opera star Rebecca Budig over the Independence Day weekend, celeb-obsessed weeklies People and Us report. It's the second marriage for both.

The two met while taping a "Bachelor"-related show for the ABC Family network late last year. They began dating not long after that and announced their engagement in May. Saturday's (July 3) wedding took place in front of a few dozen family members and friends at the home of Guiney's family in Long Lake, Mich.

Guiney, of course, first came to America's attention on the first edition of "The Bachelorette," where he was The Funny Guy and a hit with viewers, even though Bachelorette Trista Rehn ultimately rejected him. ABC then tapped him to star in "The Bachelor," where he kissed his way through 25 women last fall before ultimately choosing 28-year-old Estella Gardinier.

Instead of proposing, though, he gave her what amounted to a very expensive promise ring. The two ended their relationship not long after the show concluded.

Budig has played Greenlee Smythe du Pres Lavery on ABC's "All My Children" since 1999. Prior to that she was a regular on CBS' "Guiding Light" for three years. She also hosts "Full Frontal Fashion" on cable's WE network.
